The audio book is narrated by Will Stauff who has a pleasant voice to listen to.
This book tells the stories of several heroes during the American Revolution, War of 1812, Civil War, World War I, and World War II. The stories are engaging, and great to keep a young reader’s interest.

America’s War Heroes audiobook does a great job of bringing each story to life in 10-15 minutes. The author speaks clearly and expressively. This audiobook is a great option to provide variety in our homeschool day. It is fun to read along with the audiobook, but also great for listening to in the car or while completing hands on tasks.

Fun and interesting!
Review byCrystal
We love the audio version of this book! It is perfect for us to listen together in the car, or sometimes my kids will turn it on themselves. The stories are relatively short but offer a great overview and interesting details about each war hero and the battles they were involved in. We all find fun facts that we want to share with others. I love how the author made the stories so informative, yet fun and interesting. The narrator has a great voice, and we enjoy listening to him.

Highly recommend the audiobook alongside the book. My kids were able to independently follow along the short chapters and ask questions as they 'read' the book. I love the building of independence that audio books allow!

Love the addition
Review byAshley
This book audio is a wonderful addition to a library. It gives you all the information in the book including the 18 chapters. That is 18 War Hero’s that you can listen to and get information about if that is something that interest you or your kids. You can also listen to it on the go which is always a time savor to me.

Great Audiobook
Review byYulia
We have this audiobook in a digital version as well. It is absolutely wonderful. My kids were captivated by the stories and amazed at some wonderful heroes: at their bravery, wisdom, and love for liberty. This particular book goes well alongside America's Story series by Angela O'Dell (history curriculum) to go deeper in studying about some of the important history figures.
It teaches kids character and inspires them how to invest their lives into achieving something great for God.
This audiobook is a great addition to our library.

What a Character: American War Heroes by Marilyn Boyer Audiobook
Review byLove2BeMom
I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook about some of America’s greatest war heroes. If you or your children are war history lovers, you will be sure to enjoy it too!
The audiobook is narrated by Will Stauff. His voice is clear, and the narration is easy to the understand. Each chapter is between 11 and 14 minutes long.
I recommend having a physical copy of the book since it includes a lot of maps that are nice to look at alongside the stories. It would also be a great option to let emergent or reluctant readers follow the text while listening to the audio. Vocabulary words and definitions are not narrated in each chapter but are gone over at the end of the book as a “chapter” on its own.

Enjoyable and Educational
Review byLexie
My family greatly enjoyed this audiobook. History is a subject I found very dry and boring as a student, so I aim to find opportunities to bring history alive for my children so they do not have the same feeling! This audiobook was added to our day during lunch time so we could enjoy the stories while sitting around the table. The reader has a very pleasant voice to listen to. Each chapter was about 10-15 minutes, and we often found ourselves wanting to listen to just one more chapter every day! Little details shared by these stories were interesting to listen to as we had not heard of many of the stories shared in this audiobook.
