Wonderful Readers
Review by Yulia
My kids absolutely enjoyed these new readers at Master Books. We are using it as read aloud for now for age groups of the 7 and 9 years old: 2 boys and a girl. All of them were captivated by the stories and amazed at some wonderful heroes: at their bravery, wisdom, and love for liberty. This particular book goes well alone side American Story series to go deeper in studying about some of the important history figures.

This book teaches kids character and inspires them how to invest their lives into achieving something great for God. In addition, I love that author also provides vocabulary in each chapter to make sure kids fully understand what they are reading about.

I am deeply grateful for such wonderful and easy to read book.
A great introduction to war heros
Review by Laura
This book is a fantastic way to introduce your kids to people in history. It is so important to learn about the men who fought so hard for our freedom. There are 5 wars that have a quick description at the beginning of each section. Each person in this book has a short & easy to read story about their part in the war. Any words that might be a challenge to young readers are defined right on the page. The illustrations are fun & help kids stay engaged to the story. This book can be used for pure enjoyment or an add on to curriculum. A list of Master Books curriculum that would be good to use this book with is included.
“One of my favorite books!”
Review by JoyfulMommy
From my eleven-year-old son: “This is one of my favorite books just to sit and read! The stories are so descriptive, I almost feel like I’m there in the battles! I especially liked reading about Jacob DeShazer and how he fought in a war with Japan, became a Christian while in prison there, and later went back to Japan as a missionary. I like the glossary and that the words are introduced one by one on the side of the page as I read the book. The illustrations make it seem more real, too. Highly recommend!”
