Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell

Drs. Tommy and Elizabeth Mitchell, both Vanderbilt educated medical physicians, creation scientists, and homeschoolers wrote this series together to reveal the wonder of God’s design for life and the authority of His written word.

Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell retired from medical practice in 1995 to devote herself more fully to the needs of their three children. Homeschooling for fifteen years, she enjoyed making science, history, and the Bible come alive. Later, as a writer for Answers in Genesis, she authored the long-running weekly “News to Note” and “News to Know” series, as well as in-depth web articles, and has been a contributing author for many of AiG’s publications. She even briefly helped out as a schoolteacher. Whatever hat she wears, Dr. Mitchell seeks to build understanding by making information clear, relevant, and interesting.
