Valdis Gauss

Valdis Gauss, originally from Santa Barbara, California, is a mythologist and an Assistant Professor at National Taitung University on the island of Taiwan. Valdis is a leading author on Taiwan’s Austronesian mythology and in particular, the origins of mankind, the shooting of the sun, and the deluge, as these topics are memorialized in Taiwan’s indigenous tribal oral histories.
