Overview

Even the youngest believers need a solid grasp of Christian doctrine just as much as adults do. The most foundational teachings of the Christian faith are presented in the Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers series on a level that preschool and elementary school-age children can understand.

The Gospel relates the good news of salvation to children. Even small children can grasp God's saving love and His promise to adopt them and give them a home in heaven through faith in Jesus Christ.

In simple but precise language, the book teaches God-centered theology. Featuring charming illustrations, The Gospel makes for a fun but educational read.

  • Part of a series of age-appropriate books that teach small children about essential Christian theology
  • Provides children a firm foundation in God's timeless truth
  • Works well as a text for homeschooling, Sunday schools, Christian schools, or family devotional time

"I like Gracie MOST"
Review by Rachael
As I was going to write this review my daughter walked up and told me, "I like Gracie most." The characters are captivating and intriguing to kids!
Bummer

I think the message is good, we have enjoyed the other books in this series, but I believe it is actually going to have to be trashed. My kids actually had pointed out too about Gracie in the bath tub that it was not a modest book. I tried to put a sharpie dress on her but still I have my reservations about keeping it seeing that it made them uneasy looking at the illustrations.
I had to make a read aloud.

I wanted to love this book because of the reviews I read as well cause I wanted to get “Where Faith Grows” and I feel like I am alone on this but I need to know if I am.
I can’t read this book with my children because of the way the little girl “Grace” is dressed or half naked in the tub.
The book has an amazing message that I don’t think it should be taken lightly but the illustrations are very sexually driven.
The little girl has curves and wears a dress that I would never put on myself even.
Then the book goes on to show her in the tub half naked (obviously she is bathing but to share the gospel by showing a little girl bathing was a bit weird) I am not sure if it is because I am overly conservative (which I am not) or what but I can’t even read it without my children point it out, I even show it to a sister and she had the same impression.
I should’ve look it inside the book before buying it but I am thankful I didn’t cause I won’t get the whole set any longer.
This is probably the only book (or series) cause I looked inside of the other ones as well, that I would never suggest from MasterBooks to anyone I know to get it.
Perfect resource

The first time I read this to my son, he was fascinated! The next day, he had me read it again and was asking questions about salvation. This book breaks down big concepts in a way that my 5 year old can understand, as well as beautiful enough for him to want salvation! Huge win!
SHARE THE GOSPEL!!!

I had the fortune to find this powerful little book at my local bookstore!!! My kids liked it but didn't care for it much it explains mostly what they see and hear pretty often at our local church and home. I met a little boy whom was interested on knowing more about God (visiting our church for a weekend from another state) I gave it to him... He was so amazed by it and was very grateful He said he was going to read it to his mom so she could meet Jesus too!!. Yes he's got a Bible going his way! Thank you Masterbooks!

My son can get so sad talking about sin but this book does an amazing job of explaining Jesus dying for our sins and it makes him feel better. Such a nice book for young kids.
