Great books!

I purchased this and another Building Blocks book during a flash sale. I'm really glad I did so, even though these are still a bit advanced for my young children. I am planning on using this with some of the books from this site for a paleontology study this fall. It is well-written and organized. It follows along with several of the other dinosaur books I've purchased from Master Books. This will be a good read-aloud supplement for our study!
Excellent

What a good resource to have on hand. Don’t let the black and white pages make you think this will be boring reading. It is very interesting and has great Christian apologetics built into science.
Helpful Resource

This is one of the books that I am using for my high schoolers biology course. It has a user friendly layout and is easy to understand even for non science minded kids.

My son had to be taken out of public school due to Cancer and he’s loving his Pre-Med course. He’s loving the fact that during hospital stays or dr visits he’s able to communicate with the nurses and staff about what he has learned. And the bonus is that what they are learning a lot of nurses don’t learn it in School.
Very informative

My husband and I have enjoyed just having this book in our library. We pull it out when we have questions about subject within the book. Not something I would read to my kids just Yet, I believe it would be way over their heads. Maybe high school age kids would enjoy this book if their really into science.
Very textbook, not for elementary

I like this book. Don’t get me wrong. I am giving it 5 stars. But I will not be reading this one to my son who is 9. It’s fascinating, but way over his head and it goes into detail that is harder to understand at a young age. I am really looking forward to reading it to myself for the time being and when he is older, in high school, he can take a crack at it. It is softcover, textbook like, and black and white. Engaging photos and illustrations are scattered throughout, but they are not colored. Which, again, is fine with me. Each chapter has it’s own questions at the end which helps sum up the chapter and help with retention. It’s a well done book, but not for younger ones.
