    While I think the information is great in this book, the worksheets/assessments weren't my favorite. There were often things on the quizzes/tests that weren't covered in the worksheets.

    I had never really thought to add a study of CAVES into our 6th/7th grade science material until we had a family trip to Mammoth Caves in our future. This was a great preparation for our trip and we certainly learned a lot. This book is less elementary-grade friendly than some of the others in this series, but still fun to look through the beautiful pictures. I'm glad we purchased this book!

    I own most of this series and the Cave book is one of our favorites. It’s not as easy reading as the Geology and Mineral books are but my junior high kids understand it just fine as they read. The colorful illustrations are wonderful.

    I read this to my littles in a morning basket, there are many high quality photos and lots of information (I can admit some of the information went over my head, I look forward to going through this book again when my kids are older :)). We did a field trip to luray caverns after reading this book, I loved giving them a christian perspective before going to a cave that teaches only evolution, we even got to see some stalactites that are 2 inches long from their last renovation two years ago. The guides told us about how "when conditions are perfect they can grow faster than the 1 cubic inch in 120 years"

    This book is jam-packed full of information and colorful photos and illustrations! It is such a nice hardback book. It really can be used by all ages! I bought it for my advanced first grader, who loves it, by my Pre-K kids even enjoy the photos! However, it would also be great for older students and even adults!
