    Civics from a Biblical worldview

    This is a great course to look through how our country is run from a Biblical worldview. It is great seeing how our founding fathers made the countries original documents and system of government. I will warn the book does open up with the Roe vs. Wade and how that is unconstitutional because it takes a life.
    As a curriculum pack, the videos are the lecture, the student book has the lecture notes and additional information. Then the student uses the worksheets in the Teacher Guide.
    Though most lessons have a video lecture, not all do (and the book states this).
    I love that all the founding documents are also in the back of the book.
    Each chapter is well laid out with what is expected that the student to cover. There are notes on which video lecture to watch and all the information is clearly laid out and legible. Each chapter goes through a different part of government or a founding document. There are many references to court cases as well as events that shaped how that part of government happened.
    The Teacher Guide has all the worksheets, quizzes, tests, answer keys, suggested schedule, and parent notes. The schedule included is for one semester of 4 days a week. The worksheets have a lot of questions with fill in the blanks and short answers.
    This is a good course for the last year of high school to understand our government, and the student is at a good maturity level for some of the topics.

    This semester-long class is so helpful to give students an understanding of the Constitution and how our government works. Students will listen to video lectures, read in the textbook and complete worksheets and quizzes. The textbook consists of 18 chapters that contain outlines and information related to the video lectures. The appendix includes important documents such as The Mayflower Compact, The Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution.

    I have to be honest-I wasn't sure my daughter would enjoy this textbook, I remember I hated government while in Highschool. Well, She really enjoyed it-she enjoy reading the additional readings as well- I originally told her it was options but after the first 2 she chose to do all the additional readings herself. Thank you for writing it in a way that is can be easily seen how it applies to our daily life now.

    Both my high schoolers just started this class and they love it! My oldest has already used it in real life to defend herself (her, her cousin, and friends were at the park and were told they weren’t aloud to play there because they were teens) after quoting her constitutional rights she learned in the book the people left them alone and continued to play (they were not miss behaving)

    This is a topic that we need to teach our children. It historically discusses the Constitution and teaches how it applies to everyday life. This is an area that is underbought in our society and I feel is extremely important! Safeguard our liberties and freedom and teach our young people!!!
