Teachers are encouraged to adjust the schedule and materials needed to best work within their unique educational program.

This homeschool high school course is an outstanding one-year Bible elective designed to equip this generation to stand firm in their faith when faced with philosophies of other world religions and cults. Homeschool students and adults will enjoy learning and understanding other religions and how they compare to Christianity.

The following resources are included in the World Religions and Cults Curriculum Pack and are required to complete the course.

World Religions and Cults Vol. 1 presents a clear and thorough analysis of "counterfeit" religions like Mormonism, Islam, Deism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Zoroastrianism, and many more.

World Religions and Cults Vol. 2 deals with many Eastern religions like Hinduism, Taoism, New Age, Sikhism, Confucianism, Shinto, and Buddhism, as well as other pagan-based systems like Witchcraft, Voodoo, Greek mythology and many more!

World Religions and Cults Vol. 3 focuses on the atheistic or humanistic type of religions. It would be one of the most valuable for the church in the Western World.

Comparative Religions Teacher Guide includes the suggested weekly schedule and has easy-to-manage lessons that guide the reading, worksheets, and all assessments. The answer key is also included.

World Religions and Cults Generalized Timeline is a 24”x 40” chart providing a church and denominational breakdown.

Lays out a 1 credit, 36 week class
Review by Debra
The Teacher Guide lays out a 36 week plan to work through the three volumes of World Religions and Cults, with material scheduled for five days a week. This makes it so much easier to tackle the books.

The Teacher Guide includes worksheets that you can reproduce for your family, along with quizzes and tests.

The meat of this course is, of course, the three books by Bodie Hodge and Roger Patterson: World Religions and Cults Volumes 1, 2 and 3.
The Ship's Wheel to the 3 book course!
Review by Kristi J.
The teacher's guide for Comparative Religions really makes a huge difference. It makes things more manageable, steers you to remember the main points and serves as an entire guide to working through the material. Everything is easy to understand, the plan is clear and the steps are reasonable. Whether you use this for personal enrichment or homeschool (recommend 9-12th grade for greatest level of understanding and retention), you will find your way is easy and you will be amazed at the level of understanding you gain upon completion of the course/guide. This would also make a fabulous small group study or longer-term Sunday School class. The plan in the guide is laid out for 2 years, but for older students or adults who are motivated to complete the series, it would definitely not need to take that long. Highly recommend this guide and the entire curriculum.
Great homeschool resource
Review by Heather
Use the teacher's guide alongside World Religions and Cults (a 3 volume series) for grades 11-12. While the books themselves are an eye-opening, insightful, and heart-opening series to reach those who need to hear the Gospel message, one can also use this convenient teacher's guide to organize and follow through the series; a resource to add value to learning. If followed as structured, this is a one year course, offering 1 full high school credit. Assignments are laid out as a 5-day/week schedule (which is flexible based on teacher and student). It's also broken down by quarter and semester. Although the book is called a teacher guide, by 11/12th grade, students are typically self-guided. The book itself is a complete set of worksheets (based on student's reading), quizzes and tests. If purchased as a complete set through www.masterbooks.com, there is a timeline chart that is included that give a visual representation to the origins of various religions. I haven't seen it in person, but it's on my wishlist; appears to be another insightful resource.
Easy to Use
Review by April
The Comparative Religions Teacher Guide is really clear, concise, and easy to use. It helps organize your thoughts and compare the information given. The worksheets are easy to use and the instruction is very clear. There is a schedule at the beginning of the guide that is helpful, even if you decided to use it as more of a checklist. I feel like this is a must-have if you plan on using The World Religions and Cults Series as a homeschool course. For homeschool, this is probably best for high schoolers. Highly recommend.
Fantastic Resource
Review by Nikki
Though my homeschooler is a bit young for this course, I decided to take a look at this for future use.

I appreciate the layout of the Teachers Guide - it is a straightforward, no muss - no fuss approach to the various religions and cults of the world. At the end of the course, done properly, you would have a notebook full and ready to defend your faith and Biblical Christianity.

I definitely think this course is best suited for high school students - ideally 11th/12th grade - and I look forward to using it in the future. In the meantime, I will press forward with the course myself.

Thank you, Master Books, for another fantastic resource.
