In a society mired in godlessness and humanism, parents are given the high calling of raising children who will know the Truth, live the Truth, and take the Truth into the next generations. In Creation to Babel, today's Christian family will find a unique commentary on Genesis 1 - 11 to ensure the biblical foundation is established in their children’s hearts.

Perfect for family devotions and Bible studies, Creation to Babel:

  • Offers parents a powerful combination of apologetics and doctrine.
  • Instills biblical answers to contemporary issues such as gender, gay "marriage," abortion, racism, and others.
  • Provides answers to the most-asked questions people have about these passages with applications to personal living.
  • Helps families put themselves under the authority of the Word, and not over it.

Ken Ham, founder and CEO of Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter, partners with parents to hammer home the importance of understanding God’s infinite greatness compared to our human finite understanding.

“We must let God’s Word speak to us, and not impose our beliefs on God’s Word.” - Ken Ham

Great devotion book
Review by Sharon
We just got this book and it is done so well. So much detail in small lessons to learn from. We are doing this as a family with a 11 year old son and we all enjoy it.
Answers all those tricky questions about Genesis
Review by LC
I could not wait to get this book and it has not disappointed! I have to take my time with it so that I can really understand and delve deep. It came at a perfect time as my husband has started disciplining a new believer and they are starting in age I. He said it has been a HUGE help in breaking it down for his talks with his friend.
Great morning basket item

Love this book! It’s slightly smaller than I thought but it’s not lacking into content. Definitely download the masterbooks devotional plan to make the most use of it and get the ‘Will they stand’ for yourself! Great partner book
A great start for your journey through scripture
Review by Kathleen
This book is a detailed look at the first 11 chapters of Genesis. It has a devotional feel to it. Allowing you time to ponder each topic. It is written in a conversational style but it is very straightforward and readable. I most appreciate how it sticks to a literal interpretation of Genesis. I highly recommend this book.
Excellent resource on the foundations of our faith
Review by Dustie
This is a wonderfully detailed resource that covers the creation account through the Tower of Babel. I am generally cautious about commentaries and other resources, as we can tend to focus more on what the opinion of another human is, rather than seeking the Word of God for ourselves. Mr. Ham has detailed his thoughts and backed up his views with scripture references and scientific research, as well as logic and common sense. He encourages us to seek the LORD and read His Word for ourselves and not to take any man’s word for it, to judge what we read and hear by the Word of God alone. It is truly a refreshing book. I appreciated the apologetics woven throughout, as well as the focus on the message of salvation. It provided a fresh look at some of the current social issues, showing that the answers to what is right and wrong can be found in the first book of scripture. I was very impressed with this book and would recommend it to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Genesis. I received the ebook version for free. The opinion in this review is mine. This is one I would like to purchase a physical copy of for my bookshelf.
Wonderful foundational book on Genesis
Review by Becky K
I was fortunate to be able to review Creation to Babel as part of the Ken Ham Morning Basket from Masterbooks. This morning basket contains the books Creation to Babel and Will They Stand both authored by Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis. I was given these books for free in return for my honest review. All opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The reading schedule for the books is generously offered for free download through the Masterbooks website. The study for the books is broken down in 4 9-week quarters (36 weeks of total study). Each week starts with the parent reading approximately 10 pages of Will They Stand as a personal study. After the completion of each chapter, there are journal prompts, available at then end of the reading schedule document, to encourage deeper internal reflection on the information read. The remaining 4 days of the week are for family reading of Creation to Babel. Each day has the parent reading about 1-2 pages aloud to the family, leaving plenty of time for guided discussion by the parent, answering questions, or other parts of the family morning basket.

Creation to Babel is a straight forward book that takes the reader verse by verse through the first eleven books of Genesis. Ken Ham breaks down each verse with fantastic explanation of the information that can be extracted. He inserts enough historical and linguistic context to the verses to illustrate why each verse can, and should be, interpreted as he suggests. He presents Genesis as the foundation of the Bible and that proper interpretation of it will lead to proper interpretation of the rest of the Bible, much as a proper foundation of a house is imperative to its ability to stand. This book is engaging, informative, and practical. While the content is written in a conversational manner, many of the topics discussed can be difficult to adequately explain to younger children. I would recommend this to be utilized for older elementary through high school aged children for this reason. Younger children will need more explanation and have more questions, while older children may need to utilize the content as a jumping off point for further personal research.

I read this book as part of the morning basket, but it can be read as a stand alone book about Genesis and the importance of understanding and evaluating it as the foundation for the rest of the Bible. This book will be become and integral part of our homeschool curriculum next year, as we tackle the Creation and the Old Testament.
Family Devotional
Review by Laurie
As an author, Ken Ham does not disappoint. Our family chose this morning basket as an addition to the start of our homeschool day. 4 days a week the kids read in the book creation to babel and 1 day a week is for the parents. The parent portion has a reading in the book Will They Stand and an occasional journal prompt. I found the journal prompts very worthwhile. They ask you to write out questions like What legacy do you want to leave for your children? And to Create a family statement of faith.
As a family with kids ranging from 4 to 14, we all got something out of this course. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality family devotional.

I received this free digital course in exchange for my honest option.
Full of Insight and Knowledge
Review by Michael
This book was released at a great time for my family since we were reading through the book of Genesis already. We used this book as a supplement as we read Genesis and it provided great insights and imparted knowledge that comes from the Lord. I highly recommend this book as a resource for studying scripture.
Very detailed apologetic curriculum
Review by Lexie
We have been through several apologetic curriculums, and this one is very interesting. It is a very detailed, full of rich writing and not many pictures. I really some of the graphic information presented such as the timeline along with the ages of people from the beginning in the Bible. This book is a great option for anyone looking to dig deeper into the Bible or to use as an apologetic read aloud for a family.
Great Devotional!
Review by Momtographer
This is a really nice devotional that goes through creation using the Bible and more Bible via apologetics. I think this is a really helpful book to help raise up children with a Biblical Worldview.
