Has the Church Lost its Influence?

We live in a nation divided across political, racial, cultural, and even religious lines. Can the church regain a position of influence among young people seeking “truth” while rejecting God’s Word?

Christian families are asking, “How do I stop my kids or my grandkids from being swept away by this moral relativism tornado? Ken Ham, one of the top biblical apologetic speakers in North America, calls for a Reformation to get God’s people back to the authority of the Word of God beginning in Genesis.

"These are perilous times for the Church … Every committed Christian needs a copy of this timely book!" Heidi St. John – Author, Speaker

Divided Nation: Cultures in Chaos & A Conflicted Church provides families and their churches biblical mandates to awaken and arise as influencers in today’s turbulent times. As Christian persecution increases, the Body of Christ needs to prepare to take a bold stand. Ken Ham, CEO and founder of Answers in Genesis-US, the highly acclaimed Creation Museum, and the world-renowned Ark Encounter, sounds the call for Reformation bringing God’s people back to the authority of the Word of God beginning in Genesis.

Can the church regain a position of influence among this generation of “truth seekers” who reject God and His Word? To combat today’s chaotic culture and the conflicted church, Ham addresses five specific issues:

  1. There is no neutral position
  2. There is no non-religious position
  3. There are ultimately only two religions
  4. Creation apologetics
  5. How to think foundationally to develop a truly Christian worldview

Make a stand for the soul of this generation. Divided Nation shines an empowering light on the struggle of the church to retain young believers. Glean from it the issues that must be addressed and find clarity amid the chaos of the culturally conflicted church.

“Divided Nation is an excellent call to Christians, pastors and thinkers alike to return to the supreme authority of God’s Word and the God of all truth.” Jack Hibbs – Calvary Chapel: Chino Hills, CA

A foundation inspection
Review by Laura
This book takes us through a journey of how or why our culture has stepped away from Christ. A large number of people will still say that they believe in Jesus but their lives & values don’t reflect the values portrayed in the Bible. In fact some pastors don’t even preach against sin anymore - especially the politically charged topics. All we are left with is a greasy grace gospel. This book addresses those issues by taking us back to the beginning of the Bible. The Bible is what the foundation of ALL our beliefs should be. We need to teach our children the Bible so they have a solid foundation when facing all of the issues in our society.
A great book to help you understand the current state of our nation.

Ken Ham tells us that parents and church leaders need to equip children for the fallen world in which we live. We have a foundation of God's word or man's word. One is either for Christ or against Him. This book will open your eyes as to what happened, why it happened, and how to go about dealing with it as we should. I highly recommend this book. You will come away with a better understanding of why our nation is in the state that it is currently in. You will also receive some tips/tools to help you navigate your way forward, especially regarding preparing your children for what is to come. This audio book is narrated by Micah Matthews. He speaks clearly. This is comfortable to listen to.
God's Word vs. Man's Word
Review by JoyfulMommy
In this short but powerful volume, Ken Ham urges pastors, church and ministry leaders, and parents to return to the foundational teaching of Genesis as literal history. Too often, the biblical history of Genesis 1-11 is traded for an acceptance of evolutionary philosophy. As Ken Ham illustrates, this acceptance erodes the foundation upon which the rest of the Bible stands, and is leading to not only the increased secularízation of the church at large, but also the loss of our younger generations in droves. We must be equipped - and equipping - with answers to crucial questions that can and must be answered from Scripture.

If you’re familiar with Ken Ham’s teaching, most of the information in this book will not be new to you. Even so, I found it to be a helpful overview and a solid reminder that truly nothing is neutral; every belief and action that flows from it stands on either God’s Word or man’s word.
Interesting read
Review by Dustie
This is an interesting book, and the narrator is pleasant to listen to. Ken Ham addresses the generational problems that have resulted in younger generations leaving the church. He uses the example of Matthew 7 and the wise man building his house upon the rock, while the foolish man built his house upon the sand. Which foundation will we help our children build in? This book is a call to parents to raise children who are wise and build their lives upon the Rock. Mr. Ham gives biblical guidance on worldview and raising children up to be godly leaders.
