    Wow! There are so many amazing things to learn from history in this timeline. My son with ADHD stayed engaged and absolutely loved the big foldable timeline, he always had it circled around him. Great way for a 4th grader to learn how to write timelines.

    Yet again! MASTERBOOKS found a way to keep my son engaged in the curriculum. My son was a struggling reader, but was able to make strides in this set of books. Highly recommend.
    Didn't require student to think much

    The timeline for this curriculum was great for showing how biblical history overlapped with world history! However, it doesn't require the student to think very much. It was so much copy work and fill in the blanks. Might be better used as a supplement. It seemed like the reading was a higher level then the activities were. Content was great but I wouldn't recommend this curriculum if you want your child to be challenged. Maybe would be better for children with special needs?

    I really like how this curriculum shows how ancient history overlaps with Bible history. The timeline book is really cool too. My kids enjoy looking through it. It definitely gives perspective.
    This curriculum is great for a 4th grader but might be a little light for a 6th grader. You may need to supplement if you want to go deeper on certain subjects.

    I love the timeline that is done for me! I like the out of the box approach. I make it even more so as I'm often adapting for their specific needs. History from a biblical prospective is a win in our family!

    My 5th grade daughter loved this course. She really likes history so it was a great world history overview for her and a great introduction to timelines. The worksheets were really easy for her and quick. Definitely not the level of work I would expect for a 5th grader, but she liked that it was quick and easy. She has learned a lot from it and really enjoyed the Big Book as well as the Noah's Ark book. Writing the outlines is just copying them, not writing themselves, but I guess its a great way to be introduced to them and the format without expecting too much. Overall the information in this class is wonderful and my daughter enjoyed the workload, even if it wasn't to the level I would have wanted for her grade. I would definitely recommend and would be a great course to complete with younger ages right after finishing US history. Or great to do with a variety of ages as well since it is simple enough to accomodate younger learners really easily.
    Basic overview / low to avg. reading level guides

    LIKES: The 15ft extended timeline is really cool! The majority of the worksheets (Teacher Guide) are better intended for lower levels (3rd?) or struggling readers/learning disabilities. Very simplistic and lots of fill-in-the-blanks/straight forward copying. Some paragraphs in Timeline were directly copied into the worksheets to read. This could possibly be a good quick summer highlight overview before child starts taking World History series.

    SUGGESTION: Take out the Noah's Ark assignments and do separately. (4-6 week unit study?) This is a great book, however the reading guides felt out of place as we continued on with the course.

    DISLIKES: Not very in-depth with events. It's more of a timeline, not a typical history book. My 5th grader is a very strong reader and enjoys history, however the worksheets were below his reading level. Not many critical thinking questions. "You Report" summaries help with writing at 5th grade level, however there wasn't a lot to expand on with limited information.
    We did our best at expanding the learning by finding videos online to help supplement.
    First time, using MB history, I will try a different MB history curriculum. This didn't work well with my 5th-6th grader.
    Fun for my kids

    I did this history course with my 3rd and 5th grader. They made skits for all the "you report" sections and had a blast. I liked that it was open and go, the timeline is awesome. There's isn't a ton of in depth info since it's an overview of history but it's great to be able to take the time to learn other history facts and topics that interest your specific child. We spent extra time learning about Pompeii. The Noah's Ark sections where especially great because it really makes them think about things they never thought about before when it comes to how the ark was built.
