Elementary Zoology (Teacher Guide - Download)
What elementary student doesn’t love animals? Encourage your child’s love for animals with this compelling, informative zoology curriculum features a biblical worldview. Elementary Zoology combines the study of both land animals and sea creatures, complete with trips to the zoo and aquarium. In addition to all of the scientific facts and trivia it teaches, the class also includes exciting, hands-on activities that will delight children. Our unique package gives the teacher an easy-to-use daily plan to turn these wonderful resources into a complete year of learning your student is going to love!
Features: Each suggested weekly schedule has three easy-to-manage lessons which combine reading, worksheets, and vocabulary-building opportunities including an expanded glossary for each book. Designed to allow your student to be independent, materials in this resource are divided by section so you can remove quizzes, tests, and answer keys before beginning the coursework. As always, you are encouraged to adjust the schedule and materials as you need to in order to best work within your educational program.
Workflow: Students will read the pages in their book and then complete each section of the study guide worksheets. Tests are given at regular intervals with space to record each grade. Younger students may be given the option of taking open book tests.
Lesson Scheduling: Space is given for assignment dates. There is flexibility in scheduling. For example, the parent may opt for a M-W schedule rather than a M, W, F schedule. Each week listed has five days but due to vacations the school work week may not be M-F. Please adapt the days to your school schedule. As the student completes each assignment, he/she should put an “X” in the box.

NOTE: In using the following course materials, you will need to follow the course calendar – especially for the two Complete Adventure books. Like the Dinosaur Activity Book, they are included to provide learning activities and additional material that enhance the study of the World of Animals. When referencing the activity pages on the Teacher Guide course calendar after the devotionals in the Complete Adventure books have been read, it gives a page range – as always, flexibility is given for you to choose as many or as few of these activities you would like your young learner to do. You can make as many copies of these as you may need.
While the calendar doesn't use all the material in the Complete Adventure books, you can use the additional reading material as additional learning or reading opportunities for your child. And you can also choose to use some of these activities on the days when the course calendar doesn't have activities or reading already specified. The material can also be enjoyed by younger or older students as well if you are planning a family trip to a local zoo or aquarium.
