Great course!
Review by Ashley
Both my kids really enjoyed this course. My oldest (who struggles with reading sometimes) took it during his first semester of 1st grade, and enjoyed the Bible stories used. It was also gentle enough that he didn't get frustrated, or overwhelmed by it. For my youngest it was adaptable enough that we were able to spread it over almost a full year since she took it in kindergarten but wasn't ready for language lessons 1 yet. My youngest also loved the Bible stories used. It also gave her the confidence and ability to read like she wanted.
Great for early readers
Review by Danielle
We had originally purchased this for my 1nd grader and realized very quickly he was already to advanced in his reading. But it worked out well for our kindergartener. Its perfect for beginner readers. Makes it fun!
WOW LOVE THIS
Review by Olives and Arrows
little one is started this with what I thought would be too much for him but turns out I didn't give him enough credit. He excelled with this and is loving this curriculum.
Easy to use!
Review by Momma of 4 boys
My son really struggled until we started using masterbooks. These phonics lessons are quick and effective.
Great for prek phonics
Review by Courtney
My prek son was interested in learning to read. We used Foundation Phonics to practice our letter sounds and handwriting. He enjoyed the Bible lessons with each letter.
We loved it!
Review by Stacey M
This was the first book I used to start homeschooling my daughters and it was such a special time for us! We loved each short little lesson. I did it for my 4 and 5 1/2 year old daughters. I never learned phonics or the funny markings myself, but this was so easy to use and learn for myself, and teach at the same time! My girls picked up reading pretty quickly, despite one of them having a bit of dyslexia. We didn’t use anything else so I can’t compare it to other companies, but we have been happy with Master Books.
Perfect start to our homeschool
Review by AllisonBrost
I started my kindergartner on this and we do itb4 to 5 days a week. She loves the simplicity of the stories and the worksheets balance coloring and learning well. She enjoys the curriculum and I love how the truth of Gods word is interwined in each lesson.

Even though our 5½ year old knows his letters, this is a great review and practice for him. We love the Bible stories that go along with the lessons!
Satisfactory
Review by Tiffanie
The lessons are Bible heavy. My 5 year has picked it up beautifully. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the pages don’t tear out easily or straight.
Helped My Son So Much!
Review by Kathleen
Foundations Phonics has helped my son learn his letter sounds and begin to read! What typically would be a painstaking lesson turned into fun for him with this book. He loved learning the notations for the short and long vowel sounds which made him more confident in his reading. I loved that all the lessons were Biblically-based and had a nice flow lesson to lesson. Get this book for your beginning reader. You won’t regret it!
