    The worksheets, the questions to the “ taking it further “ the questions do not line up with the lessons - and the teachers guide is looking for an exact answer that the book doesn’t even give out in any of the readings. Making it extremely difficult to complete the assignment/ understanding what it’s trying to get at. Highly recommend looking at a completely different curriculum brand for science! Don’t even get me started on their high school science curriculum that’s even worse!! If I could I would leave it at a ZERO star!

    The What Did We Learn questions are a chance to review the material covered in the lesson. The answers should be directly in the lesson. The Taking it Further questions are intended to help the child think beyond what was directly covered. Students are not expected to always get the answers correct, just to try to think of possible answers. You are welcome to skip those questions or use them as opportunities to do more investigation. I was hoping to encourage students to apply what they just learned. Using the answers in the teacher's guide is a great way to stimulate discussion and a deeper thinking about the topic.

    This is our first year homeschooling and this is the science that we started with. My 7 year old listens in... and loves it. My 9 and 11 year old also love this book. Very informative. I have enjoyed learning right along side them.

    My 10-year-old loves science! This book has been an excellent addition to our weekly schooling. We read together and he answers the questions aloud. My 5-year-old joins in for most of our experiments and they both get so excited to see what happens. Last week we made tornadoes in a bottle. The quizzes have been great for him to work independently and check for understanding. I love that everything relates back to God’s Design. You just don’t see that in other curriculums and I am grateful for it.

    I’ve used masterbooks for over 5 years and loved all the curriculum so far. This set though has me very frustrated. It asks questions that the reading material doesn’t give clear answers to. I have never had to look in the back of the books for the answer because I couldn’t answer myself. With this book I have to look up the answers frequently. My daughter and I do this together and I have trouble answering some of the questions based off the reading. Seems more advanced than 5th grade.

    This book contains a lot of interesting information. My kids look forward to the experiments and activities, which help re-enforce the concepts. I would recommend this course for the middle school grades, as some of the information may be a little complicated for younger ones.

    I am currently using this with a 7th grader along with Heaven & Earth for beginners with a 1st & 3rd grader. The adjusted schedule offered on the website makes it effortless to have them work together. Having my older student help the younger reinforces the main points. Its great that we can do this together.

    This is our third book in the four-book series. It is manageable for an 11 year old to do solo. He has been enjoying it, even on the shorter days. We do wish there were more experiments included, but when really inspired, he makes up his own. Recently, he was very into deep sea exploration devices because of a lesson in this book.

    I used this course with my 8yo last school year. He loved how easy to understand it was and how much information was packed into this book. I loved how easy the activities were, straight forward the questions were and how easy it was to adapt it to his needs.
