I wasn’t sure if I needed this since we don't use it like it's meant to be used but there are several activities that are needed for the coursebook. I love that is also a section for reccomended books for each unit in the back!

Perfect for middle school ages

Not my favorite subject but there was so much information that I still enjoyed learning new things with my kids. I worked with my 3rd grade son and 7th grade daughter in this course, so I got a God's Design for H&E set and this teacher guide for an extra copy of the worksheets and quizzes. I just really love how the different views of secular scientists and christian scientists are explained throughout the lessons. My 3rd grade son did struggle a little with this course but my 7th grader did amazing (even with the challenge portions)!

I especially like the included schedule that plans out the whole year for you. We just mark the date on the schedule as we complete lessons. This is helpful review material, whether using as an open-book review or just questions to check understanding. Can be used written or orally. This book includes detailed answers to the review questions in the textbook! This makes it helpful for checking answers for older students when the teacher is not doing the curriculum along with the student.

I like having a pacing example in this book. We didn't use the worksheets much once I realized they were the same questions in the text that we discussed. Sometimes my kids worked independently, so the answers helped me assess their understanding when I didn't read the lesson with them. I liked the quizzes and tests to help assess their understandings. The extra worksheets of charts and such were helpful as well for lesson extensions.

The schedule and overall layout is very helpful when working through the textbook. The questions were a good gauge to see if our sons understood the material. It does seem a bit weighty for 3rd/4th graders but in true Master Books fashion, offers a beautifully solid biblical worldview.
