    The God’s Design Science series is based on a biblical worldview and reveals how science supports the biblical account of creation. Richard and Debbie Lawrence, authors of the series, have a long history of enjoying science. They have both worked as electrical engineers and now Debbie teaches Chemistry and Physics at a homeschool co-op. While homeschooling their children for 16 years, there was almost always a science experiment going on in the kitchen. Today that tradition is being continued with the next generation as the grandkids enjoy Grandma Science Day once a week. The Lawrences also enjoy playing street hockey, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, and visiting historical sites around the world.

    It's a lot of word vomit for a 3rd grader. We read together and she couldn't keep her attention on anything I was saying. What 3rd grader is going to remember the taxonomic classification system. This should be aimed more at 5th grade. 4 lessons in and I'm wishing I could return this.

    We are about to start this set for the school year! the kids have been excited and asking when we can start, as they did the Heaven set last school year. We are excited to try the master academy with it this year to make it just a bit more hands off for myself and to help the younger kids stay engaged.
    I bought the paper books previously, although I have been photocopying the teacher guide book to use for multiple kids. I am going to buy the pdf e book from now on as it is a lot easier and less time consuming to just hit print verses photocopying.

    This is a great course to teach sci and God's design of the world around us. My boya are loving the lessons and how it incorporates the teachings of the bible. This is what i wanted for our homeschool. Thank you.

    This is an amazing curriculum, can’t say enough good things about it, Love the Biblical references throughout the lessons, love the layout of the books, the pictures are so engaging and so are the experiments. We so enjoyed the biography sections as well.

    After reading the reviews, I purchased this for my 4th and 6th grader. We have struggled in science so I was hoping this was going to be easy to follow but unfortunately it is not. The lessons don't cover all of the information that the questions on the worksheets are asking for. The information that is there, is worded well and is fun but it doesn't seem like they have enough information.

    I am very excited to try this. We are switching from a computer based program to a more paper and pencil approach. I like the layout and we will see how it goes when the new year starts!

    I think this is a "work up to" kind of curriculum. What I mean is that it might not need to be recommended started out for 3rd graders. I know in the description it says 3rd-8th but I fill like that can be misleading especially since you can't really physically look at it until after you order it. With all of that being said, mt 10 year old started it and it did start very rough but he wanted to continue because he has a hard time quitting things he has started. So we really focused hard on it and took our time with it together and as we went we made flashcards for the definitions, made fun ways to study for the quizzes, found some extra cool videos explaining blood flow on youtube and things like that. Once things started to click for him and he found new ways to study it got easier for him. With all of that said, it is a great book, just adding extra tools to it may be needed to help your kid process all of the things he or she is learning. Just like with any other curriculum, you just have to find what works best for them and run with it, it isn't all going to be in one book, easy laid out for us, their is going to be work behind it and effort made by everyone.

    I haven’t started using it yet. But I have looked through the book and teacher guide. I’m happy with what I’ve seen so far and really think that my kids will not only enjoy science this year but also remember what they have learned. I like the hands on activities. The other science program (Not Master Books) I was using didn't have much hands on and I had to create something on the fly. So this will be a nice change.
