What Your Eleventh Grader Will Learn
Students prepare for college-level work with rigorous academic content. A focus on logic in writing assists students in creating strong and persuasive essays and prepares them to share thoughts and opinions convincingly. Students learn and practice communication skills through essays, summaries, oral presentations, book reviews, grammar practice, and written prayers. Research skills are strengthened through research essays and application of the APA citation style. This course employs a variety of features preparing the student for quality communication throughout high school and beyond.
Social Studies: Civics and the Constitution
Take a fast-paced and issue-focused course on the U.S. Constitution in this one-semester course, complete with video lectures. Delve into the history, meaning, and daily functions of the U.S. Constitution in your life and your nation. From its original meaning to the controversies that arise from re-interpretations of it, you will understand how and why the Founding Fathers fashioned a document of God-given rights that have stood the test of time and political tinkering.
Social Studies: Intro to Economics: Money, History & Fiscal Faith
Students explore the history of money and currency, the role of the Federal Reserve, and how modern money systems work. They discover what the Bible says about money and learn to apply those principles to real life. Along the way, they pick up practical skills for avoiding debt, saving, spending wisely, and giving generously. They can expect to study this material for 35-45 minutes twice a week.
Science: Master's Class High School Physics

The Algebra II book is much much easier to follow than some other Algebra II texts I have seen and used. I like the sequential concepts. The Physics book covers all of the main topics of high school physics and has a lot of visual aids that are very helpful.
I LOVE that LL4LE really covers everything about Language Arts! Vocabulary, Grammar, Literary Analysis, Writing, Oral Communication, etc. It is really a one-stop shop for English. I am thoroughly impressed!
There is a teacher section in the back that has loads of extras.
It is open-and-go and has grading rubrics for assignments.
The Money-Wise and Bankruptcy of our Nation tie-in is a great addition to the curriculum especially given the age of the student and the Civics Curriculum. Well-Matched! This is such a great age for this material! The Civics curriculum is great! I love that this curriculum has lecture video components for both Economics and Civics! It keeps it engaging!

Coming off the heels of the 10th grade bundle, the student is well prepared for taking those skills to the next level. Each course is written from a Biblical worldview, from math, to Physics, to English, then Civics and Economics.
Having the skills from the previous math courses helps set up the student for physics. This physics course has a lot of good information about scientists and mathematicians and their worldview. THe student is not studying physics to check a box, but to see how the world God makes works together. (Much like the rest of the series.)
Algebra 2 is also from a Biblical worldview and is written similarly to principles of Mathematics, but still practical like Algebra and Geometry.
Language Lessons 11 is a great complement as it leads into the last year of high school. The student writes different types of essays and takes a critical look at worldview.
This bundle is perfect for the 11th grader looking at a lower course 12th grade year by including Civics and Economics. Both of these courses look like they are meant for an adult (or almost an adult) and are best for the last year of history study course. Looking at civics from a Biblical worldview of how our country is set up and run is very interesting and is good to look at as the student is approaching voting age. Similar to Economics while the student is looking to being a working adult.
I recommend this bundle for the student looking to have a lighter 12th grade year.
I have spent so much time researching what our kids should do the next year and then second guessing what order to do which course…this makes it so easy!
Grade 11 is early preparation for college, these courses are academically challenging (and Faith based from a Biblical world view!) and on par with age appropriateness and workload.
We always add on the science videos (Masters Class Physics) for our kids which is a great option.
I highly recommend this core set bundle, our family has used Masterbooks for years, you will never have to second guess again.
