What Your Eleventh Grader Will Learn

Language Arts: Language Lessons 11
Language Lessons for a Living Education Level 11 equips upper-level high school students by refining their communication skills in preparation for college and/or career settings. A focus on logic in writing assists students in creating strong and persuasive essays and prepares them to share thoughts and opinions convincingly. Students learn and practice communication skills through essays, summaries, oral presentations, book reviews, grammar practice, and written prayers. Research skills are strengthened through research essays and application of the APA citation style. This course employs a variety of features preparing the student for quality communication throughout high school and beyond.
Social Studies: World History
In this course, students journey through world history from Creation to the 21st century. They explore the ancient cultures of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Israel, China, Japan, Greece, and Rome. Students examine the rise of the early church, the exploration of the Americas, and the cultural clashes of the new world. They also study the major movements that shaped Europe, including the Renaissance, Reformation, and beyond. Throughout it all, students compare what they learn with the truth of Scripture.
Science: Master's Class High School Physics
Master’s Class High School Physics Set gives your student the knowledge of how energy and matter interact, providing insights into the true origin of life. The Algebra II book is much much easier to follow than some other Algebra II texts I have seen and used. I like the sequential concepts. The Physics book covers all of the main topics of high school physics and has a lot of visual aids that are very helpful.
I LOVE that LL4LE really covers everything about Language Arts! Vocabulary, Grammar, Literary Analysis, Writing, Oral Communication, etc. It is really a one-stop shop for English. I am thoroughly impressed!
There is a teacher section in the back that has loads of extras.
It is open-and-go and has grading rubrics for assignments.
The So Noted is a great addition to the curriculum especially given the age of the student. This is such a great age for this material! The fact that it ties in with the history perfectly is bonus! The history book has great illustrations and visual images to assist with all of the information. It covers a LOT!

Every course is from a Biblical worldview. Algebra 2 is developed for homeschoolers and is taught in the same way as Principles of Mathematics, but is the next step of math. This math level is perfectly paired with Physics. Not only does this course cover traditional physics, but does it from a Biblical worldview with the history of many scientists and mathematicians.
World History is a valuable addition to this revised set as the world history course covers some if the same people. As the student is studying world history from a Biblical worldview they also see the religions of the world at that time and the culture as well.
Language Lessons 11 also helps solidify teaching worldview as well as having the students work on writing essays.
The bundle, as revised, is very well set for the 11th grader to be ready for the last year of high school and all that follows.
Our teen preferred this bundle because of the World History class, as he is interested in that area. (We also purchase the Master’s Class video teaching to pair with these courses - I highly recommend Masters Class!) Just like the other grade 11 bundle your student will learn Physics, Language Lessons for a Living 11 and Algebra 2 through the lens of a Biblical Worldview and Faith based teaching.
