Inside Instincts by Design, you will discover scientific mysteries of human and animal bodies only creation can explain. This fascinating, full-color book explores the instincts that are necessary for life, helpful for growth, and necessary for protection.

Instincts by Design will keep readers captivated with answers to questions like these:

  • How does a baby know when to inhale and exhale?
  • How does a mother’s milk change to meet the needs of her baby?
  • Why is the instinct to sleep one that we cannot override?
  • Why is it important that your tongue is the center of your taste receptors?
  • Why is the hunger instinct crucial for survival?
  • What instincts help brainless jellyfish hunt and kill their prey?
  • Why would God give horses the ability to sleep standing up?
  • How do more than 5000 species of birds journey thousands of miles every year?

The key question for someone doubting there is a God is whether these complex sets of instructions could have appeared without a Programmer. Instincts by Design is the #ProBible resource you will want to share with family and friends who need more evidence that they are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Almighty God. Christian readers will finish this book with an awe of the creative, perfectionist God who loves us so much that he did all this for everyone.

Instincts
Review by Dustie
I love this book. It is so helpful in answering some of the difficult questions children (and adults) have. Human instincts, as well as various animal instincts are covered in this book. The author makes clear how the evolutionary worldview is lacking when it comes to an explanation for instincts, and that many evolutionists consider instincts a mystery. The presence of instinctive behaviors is proof of a loving Creator.
Looking at these intricate designs leaves me in awe of how many things have to work together for our bodies to function properly, and so many of these things are happening right now without a thought about them. This book provides detailed yet easy to understand information about instincts. Best of all, it gives God the glory for His creation.
This book is great for a morning basket, but it could easily be used alongside any of the life sciences. It would also make a great book for science lovers to read for fun.
Truly fascinating
Review by Laura
From the nitty gritty details of why our bodies function the way they do to the whys of the fascinating animal world, this book is jam packed with information about how intricately designed God’s creations are. Every question is answered in a short and easy way to understand. It is a great resource for parents who have inquisitive kids. This book is incredibly fun to read. It would be great to use alongside science curriculum(s) or even just to set on the coffee table!
Creation shouts glory to the Creator!
Review by Joyful Mommy
What a wonderful resource to point to the glorious design of our Creator God! This book briefly describes many different instincts - defined, for the purpose of this book, as any complex set of instructions in most creatures of a species that was not learned and is not the result of conscious effort. It shows how only an all-wise Creator could design creatures with programming that enables us to survive and thrive. It also gives many examples of how evolutionists try to explain it but in doing so, admit they don’t understand how these processes could have evolved, only that they believe it did.

Though some of the vocabulary and concepts are a little more complex, even my young children enjoy reading this with me. Seeing the chart about how a baby's vision develops was especially fascinating to them since they have a new baby sister. They were also amazed to realize their sense of smell is a protective instinct! I know we are going to enjoy this for many years to come. There are only two pages about each instinct, so obviously not in-depth, but it could certainly spur one on to further exploration, if interested! I think this book will also complement science curriculum, as well.

As I read this, my heart echos the psalmist’s words in Psalm 139:14 - “I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.” Amen!
