The Teacher Guide is Very Disorganized
Review by Katie Greene
The material taught is decent. However, the tests and quizzes (both the blank ones and the ones listed in the answer key) are so disorganized that neither I nor my child (who is 17) can figure out which quizzes/tests are supposed to be taken when. The daily schedule is helpful, but the names for the tests in it do not match the names for the actual test or the names for tests in the answer keys. For example, the schedule at the front of the teacher guide says the test you are supposed to take at the end of the Musculoskeletal System section is called the "mid-term." When you try to find a blank test in the test section of the teacher guide that says "mid-term," it does not exist. Instead, all the blank tests are labeled with numbers 1, 2, etc. I do not know which of these tests is supposed to be the mid-term. The answer key has some names for tests which differ from both the daily schedule and the blank tests as well. For example, the answer key has answers for tests with the name "semester test," (this name is not mentioned in the daily schedule or in the section designated for blank tests). Also, the schedule says that there are supposed to be four tests taken over the course of the whole year. There are only 3 tests available for taking .

As for the quizzes, the names for the blank quizzes (the ones to be taken), and the names for the quizzes in the daily schedule do not match the names for quizzes in the answer key. The daily schedule and the actual quizzes use terminology such as "Unit 1: Quiz 2." Meanwhile, the answer key separates the sections that the quizzes fall into, but does not name the quizzes this way. For example, when you first look at the answer key, the different quizzes in the Musculoskeletal System all appear to be one quiz. The answer key says "quiz: section one," and then lists further sections. This terminology is very confusing when you look at the daily schedule, see your child is supposed to take a quiz named "Unit 1: Quiz 3," and then cannot find this quiz in the answer key.

Overall, this disorganization has caused a frustrating year for both me and my child. (I have been homeschooling for 13 years, so I have lots of experience in seeing the ways in which different science curriculums organize tests and quizzes, and so far Master Books has been the most confusing). Eventually, you can figure out the quiz your child is supposed to take, but as for the tests, it is impossible. My child is taking the tests out of order because we do not know what else to do. I do not recommend this curriculum if you want your child to take Anatomy and Physiology.

Editor's note: The quizzes and tests are located within the teacher's guide. The teacher's guide has numbered pages. The page numbers for each quiz or test are given within the daily schedule. The student is to take the quiz or test with the corresponding page numbers listed within the teacher's guide.
Overall good curriculum
Review by Kerileea
My 10th grader has enjoyed the actual curriculum and content but the only struggle we've had is how much information is taught between Quizzes and there is nothing to tell us specifically what needs to be studied. The tests are very spaced out as well. We've done some open book quizzes and that has helped but that is my only concern with this curriculum. Overall it's a good curriculum and lots of good information.
Great curriculum

Excellent Course

This Anatomy and Physiology course was very well laid out and easy to follow with very balanced time requirements. The tests, reading and course material all made sense while being challenging at the same time. I would highly recommend this course.

Perfect Curriculum for A & P
Review by Barbara
I am using this for my 10th grader this year. I am taking a college level A&P class to finish my degree program and it's been a great partnering curriculum for my high schooler. It's made his learning a bit easier as he has not only this to work through, but he can consult my college course books as well when he is interested in learning more. It's a great introduction in my opinion!
Kids love this!
Review by Janet
Trying to find things the kids really like has been a struggle. This year we are doing this course & MB Academy biology. Only reason is that they love this course & biology is a requirement for 10th grade. I don't have to remind them to do this subject :) The information is well presented and not too overwhelming with "technical" terms. Very interesting class. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn more about anatomy & physiology.
Great course
Review by Jody
Extremely user friendly! Book is complete and to the point. No fluff, just the right amount of information! My junior has definitely been enjoying this course, and needs very little help from me. I only go over her worksheet answers with her and help her study before tests to ensure she remembers everything. She has been successful with this course.
