This is part of the What a Character Series of books. This is great to listen to as a stand-alone or to accompany your history books.
The narrator is very easy to listen to and keeps my kids engaged with the audio. I also love that my new readers can follow along with the book format! I always download the MP3 format that comes with your purchase so that it is split up into chapters instead of the full audio file and this helps my kids to listen independently.
I do love the option of being able for me and my kids to listen to it while on the road or even during the time when my kids just want to listen to an audiobook at home.
Overall these series are absolutely wonderful and inspiring. Many thanks to the author and Master Books for providing these beautiful series to our kiddos.

The audio can be used without the physical copy of the book. It would, however, be a great option to let emergent or reluctant readers follow the text while listening to the audio.
