    On this DVD supplement for Jensen’s Grammar, the author systematically teaches through each lesson of his book. Explanations and examples are given, some of which do not appear in the book, and on-screen charts and examples are shown to increase the educational value of the course in a visual and auditory way. Students will learn:

    • how to create, place and punctuate relative clauses in order to write more sophisticated sentences.
    • a simple procedure to reduce the number of words in a sentence to help you search for subjects and verbs.
    • to use a simple chart that unlocks the mystery of differentiating the major parts of speech.
    • how to actually use the words and structures you are being taught in your own sentences.
    • the fundamentals of grammar in such a way that you will not forget them but will use them effectively.
    • the secrets of putting two ideas into one sentence with correct punctuation every time.

    This DVD set does not replace the book, but they can replace the need for an instructor. Every lesson is covered, and it is a very thorough series of lectures, with each lesson varying in length.

    This is a great additional resource to have. I love it when I can find video based lessons for curriculums so that the student can watch the lessons for added instruction.

    Jensen's Grammar is an effective program, but it was not for our family. My daughter was really struggling to not be bored and to understand how it teaches. We found the videos a little dry as well.

    I am glad that I got the DVD because it allows them to learn the material in different ways. It is optional but i feel like it is a good addition to the program. I always purchase the DVDs for the Jenson sets.

    The optional DVD is great for that independent student. The lessons are short & to the point. The DVD is factored into the daily lessons so if you choose not to use it your school year will be shortened & you may need to add additional work.

    While this DVD is optional, it is very helpful. It has short clips to go with each lesson. It is especially good for students who do better with different ways of learning.
