    This worked wonderfully for my high schooler and I plan on starting it with my upcoming 8th grader and taking it slow over the course of a couple of years.

    I think this is a great resource although it can be a little overwhelming for some students. My daughter has some learning struggles that make this book difficult for her. We are taking it slow and learning how to use the information in this book to help her. If lists are a problem for your child this will be hard, but not impossible to use.

    Great exposure to a large amount of vocabulary, root words, and definitions. It was presented in a simple format each week, which became tedious for my daughter over the school year. It did challenge her, and I often found her thumbing through the dictionary. Overall, I recommend this book for students who enjoy language activities.

    It took my daughter a couple weeks to really understand what she was doing, but once she figured it out, she really enjoyed the book and learned a lot. We really saw her spelling abilities increase over the year, as well as her understanding of words. Buying it again for our next incoming high school student!

    It took a couple of weeks to get into the swing of this curriculum, but once my students caught on they did fine. They did learn the roots and were able to complete the book without any problems. Goal accomplished!

    I have all my kids doing word root workbooks, the younger levels from a different program. Vocabulary and spelling in one!

    I have two high schoolers. One child LOVES this workbook, the other is not a fan. Going to press on for now. But with a child who thrives with it, I know it is a winner for some students!

    I love this book for several reasons. The fact that it studies 2 origins of the words and also that it studies the main roots. It's so helpful in knowing how to be able to decipher any word in the English language for the rest of your life! Thanks Master Books!
