Q. Should I add Writing Strands or Jensen’s Series to LLFLE?

A. Both Writing Strands and Jensen's are complete programs in and of themselves and thus are not extra practice for LLFLE. 

• Writing Strands: A creative writing program suitable for starting around 5th or 6th grade.
• Jensen's Series: A traditional high school curriculum with separate books for Grammar, Punctuation, Vocabulary, and Format Writing.

We do not recommend layering them on top of LLFLE. But in the case that a family does add them, we recommend using a slow pace. Read more about these two programs here.
