Q. How is each lesson in The World's Story structured?

A. Each lesson follows a consistent six-day cycle:

• Days 1 & 2: Students read the assigned chapter in the Student Book and complete the Introductory Page, which includes oral narration prompts and vocabulary exercises.
• Day 3: Students complete the World Quest activity sheet, featuring comprehension questions focused on how and why, plus copywork, sketching, or (in Vol. 3) a Worldview Checkup.
• Day 4: The Map Adventure sheet guides students through geography and critical-thinking questions that connect ancient or modern civilizations to the present day.
• Day 5: My Timeline worksheets help students understand how characters and events relate to one another chronologically. In Vol. 3, students are given two new activity types along with the timeline project: Abandoned Places of the World and Creative Output.
• Day 6: A flexible day for Dig Deeper research projects, crafts, or additional reading.

In Volumes 1 and 2, Art/Architecture Studies appear after every five chapters as a single-day change of pace.

Formal Review Sheets are built into the schedule every seven chapters. These can serve as tests/quizzes if desired.
