ehh. its a mix
Review by Jessica
This has been a least favorite for my daughter. BUT I don't think phonics/reading/language arts is her favorite. The material is simple, easy to build on, easy to understand and has no fluff. Everything I expect out of Masterbooks! We just did not find it super engaging for her, especially with it not being her strong suit right now.
Easy to use, but had to adapt for my advanced reader
Review by Jess
While this one didn't end up working as well for my son, I really did appreciate it and plan to save and use for my youngest. My kiddo who did the course this year is a highly advanced reader for his age (he's been reading since he was 2) and this just didn't work very well for him. The books that go along with the curriculum are too easy for him so we had to adapt a lot which turned into too much work for me when I also had two older kids to teach and a 4-year-old to care for.
Contentment
Review by Alicia
Thank you for allowing me to continue a biblically based education for my children without jumping on the educational treadmill that I exhausted myself on for many years.
Simple and engaging
Review by Whitleys Mama
When a child wants to learn, they enjoy learning and want to continue learning. Coming from a previous curriculum that was dull and boring for us both, this is completely opposite. When this book arrived and we sat down to look through all of our new books, my son asked to start his lessons NOW! You cannot tell a child no, to learning. He enjoyed the 1st lesson. We did 2 days in 1 sitting. (15 min after opening the books from the box!)
Worked great for us!
Review by Stephanie
I was looking for a language arts program that took less time to get through than what we previously used and this worked great. It was still thorough and it did the job for us. Love Masterbooks and the Biblical view that stays throughout the curriculum.
Love it!
Review by Twin mom
I was looking for something well done, fun, simple and not too time-consuming and this is just that!
Great
Review by Angie
My daughter doesn't like reading or writing. It has always been a struggle for her, but she loves curriculum!
Much Needed Change
Review by Mer
My daughter has previously felt defeated and overwhelmed by language arts. The approach and pace of this book has been a great fit for her!
Easy to use, builds
Review by Ashley
Worked well for my first learner. About to start with my second. My first thrived and we slowly did as appropriate. the only "negative" is the last day I feel like would make sense earlier in the week. (same for upper levels) but otherwise we have loved this easy to use curriculum. I slow down as needed and add extra reading practice.
Our Favorite Language Curriculum
Review by Sheena
My first grader loves this curriculum. The worksheets keep him interested and challenged. I also love that Biblical truth is woven throughout the lessons, as is the case with all Master Books curriculum. We've tried others but LLFALE is our tried and true language arts curriculum -- so grateful!
