Great!
Review by Ana
We've enjoyed all the Language Lessons for a Living Education Series, and this was not any different. My children have grown up with language lessons, and I've seen good growth.
Great L.A.
Review by Reed Academy
My son does not enjoy L.A.; it just isn't his favorite. However, as he progressed through this year, he has felt more confident in his reading and writing abilities. This curriculum helped him not feel overwhelmed, but it also pushed him to realize he was capable. I love the layout and design of the book. He has grown a lot this year!
A gentle, Biblically-based starting point
Review by Laura D.
Let me start with what we LOVE about MB: Christ-centered, gentle, approachable, perforated lesson pages (really helpful with ADHD kids who don't need to be sitting with their whole textbook!), done-for-you lesson plans (in earlier levels there really isn't even much lesson planning; a lot is open-and-go), and literature-blended! No curriculum can do it all, yet (here is what I didn't love), I felt when we started LLFLE 3 that MB was trying really hard to do just that with this Language program, at least with Grade 3. For example, the beginning of G3 has the student reviewing very basic things, including the alphabet. This befuddled me; if you don't know your alphabet by grade three, you should probably not be starting G3! We used a different phonics program in grades 1 + 2 before we found MB, so there were some approaches to spelling and phonics in general that we found confusing (that might not be an issue for you if you started off with MB!) One of those was encouraging learning/remembering spelling by picturing letter height (I think this is a right-brain method but despite my son being a "creative" he found the boxes visually distracting). We ended up not finishing G3 but it gave us a good starting point to know where we needed to go next, and we came back to LLFLE for G6, because its digestible approach is helping ease the transition into middle school. Again, this is what I love about MB. The books (at least in elementary) are very approachable, which is a real blessing when there is overwhelm or struggle with a topic!
Like it but not complete
Review by A. R.
I really like what it covers, it mixes it up with writing and analyzing art to doing crosswords and word searches. However, you definitely need to add at least a spelling program. Which it's not suppose to be all inclusive but I was hoping it would have a bit more. Lessons are small so you can expand on each lesson and/or add in another program to further their language arts
Fun early education
Review by Samantha
My son loves it and I love using it to teach him!

Such a great curriculum.
Love it!
Review by Kendra C
Our son really enjoyed this curriculum. We transitioned to LLFALE from another curriculum that seemd to have much busy work when left him feeling anxious, even when mama told him he didn't have to do it all. LLFALE to the rescue! The bite sized, developmentally appropriate lessons leave him feeling confident in himself and his abilities, and mama confident in his education.
Great language arts lessons for struggling speller
Review by Rachel
My daughter loves doing her language art lessons even though she struggles with spelling. It is easy to use and short lessons mean she doesn’t get too tired and she likes the repetition of the concepts and the art pictures. The reading comprehension is good and we like the memory verses and the spellings by sounds. She struggles with spellings so this curriculum has been perfect for her ability as it is steady paced and gentle but covers everything to ensure she is making progress.
Great curriculum
Review by Sherrah
We enjoyed this! My daughter really liked the format and enjoyed doing the lessons.
Much less stressful than what I was using before
Review by LaTyersha
So grateful for this lesson plan. It's all in one, my daughter really enjoyed it compared to our previous products from a different homeschool company. I enjoy the fact that it implements a lot of drawing. word searches and creativity in general. My daughter is very creative so it suits her well! plan on moving forward with this for my younger 3 children.
