Excellent Language Arts
Review by Elena
My daughter was ecstatic when she saw level 7 was available! She flew through this course because she enjoyed it so much and would work ahead. LLFALE really builds a love of reading and creative writing, as well as understanding punctuation and grammar.
Best middle school grammar we've found!
Review by Elaine
My daughter felt weak in grammar and in December we decided to give LLFLE 7 a try after what we were using wasn’t really teaching her anything.
This week, she was struggling with a lesson on prepositions and prepositional phrases in LLFLE Level 7 and asked me for help. I love that LLFLE can be done independently but if there is a struggle during a lesson, I’m able to jump right in and teach her the lesson. I’ve used a lot of grammar curriculum through the years but the way this Level 7 book explains grammar is the best I’ve seen! I was able to use the first three sections to teach her the preposition concepts and then the last section she did independently followed by writing her own sentence using two prepositional phrases! Thank you, Master Books, for this wonderful tool to teach my daughter grammar in a way where she understands and is building confidence in her grammar knowledge!
An engaging English course with clear lessons and a meaningful biblical foundation.
Review by Sarah
We have really enjoyed this 7th grade English course. The book God’s Story is wonderful and filled with beautiful pictures that make the lessons engaging. The workbook presents concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand way, and we especially appreciate how the Bible is thoughtfully woven throughout the lessons. It has been a meaningful and enjoyable way to study English.
Great Language Lessons Curriculum!
Review by DMcM
This was our first time using this curriculum. It was a great fit for my 7th grader. He has really improved his writing and strengthened his grammar skills. Just purchased level 8.
Still working well!
Review by Sarah
We have been using LLFALE since my daughter was in level 2 and they keep working well. The grammar is easy for her to understand and she is fully independent now. My only wish is that there was longer writing assignments involved but several of her other subjects require writing papers so that has filled that gap.
Very organized learning

The set up of the lessons make it easy to follow.
love it

My daughter and I both love this ELA curriculum. She is reading scripture with each lesson which in my opinion is the best part. Each lesson is broken down easily for her to learn and understand. Simple and very affective open and go lessons.
Great for Independent Work
Review by Michele
My 7th grade son was able to complete most lessons on his own. A good, well rounded curriculum in general that did not overwhelm my son, who struggles with writing. God’s Story is a beautiful complement to the curriculum.
Good but could be better.
Review by Mia
What we liked: Variety in lessons, biblical concepts included in each lesson, and a good balance of photos and text. What we didn't like: God's Story seems more for younger elementary-aged kids, Bible lessons/copying scripture can be a bit tedious if your child already has personal/family Bible study, and there is a significant amount of writing in general, which can be overwhelming for children who struggle with writing.
Great for my seventh grader!
Review by Sarah S.
My seventh grader has always used Language Lessons for a Living Education. She was so glad to hear it will get her all the way through high school. She likes the schedule and the variety through out the week.
