My kids are visual learners, so being able to see a map for each specific time period is key to understanding, and Map Trek Atlas allows for that.
I really appreciate how you can use these maps for all age levels, starting in Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade, either just for exposure or to make deeper connections to the time period being studied.
The maps are simple and labeled clearly, and the colors are distinguished from each other making them easy to read. I would highly recommend Map Trek Atlas to anyone looking to deepen their study of either World or U.S. history.
I highly recommend this Atlas, it is a great resource for any student.
This atlas covers everything from the time of Noah and the Flood to the Conflict in Iraq in 2003. Some of the major events covered are: Ancient Egypt, Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, the Viking Expansion, the Reformation, the American Revolution, and the World Wars. This doesn't even begin to name everything in this atlas. The maps are detailed and easy to read and understand.
Sometimes I have come across an atlas that has way too much going on and it is hard to see exactly where something is on it. But, these maps are not cluttered at all and a child of any age can easily use these to find different locations of different historical events.
My boys love maps and adore this book. It gives them a sense that these events in history took place at a real location on the earth. It has helped them to be able to identify these locations and tell others about them.

I frequently find myself referencing the Atlas for visual examples to share while teaching a lesson, since they’re simple, yet descriptive maps. Because the maps are sorted by time period, it’s easy to locate what you’re looking for in the index.
