Math level 4
Review by Rosemary
Math Level 4 has been great for my 9 yr old, who is "on grade level." I would suggest cutting and laminating all of the manipulative section in the back before you intend on using it. Keep them all in one place; and then when the time comes, the manipulatives are a quick, wonderful aid to helping the lessons progress in a reasonable, achievable way.
Good Challenge
Review by Elizabeth
My son started using MLFALE in level 2 and I have been incredibly pleased how this year is a challenge for him. He is confident in his abilities and enjoying harder concepts.
Wish
Review by Crystal
Wish I was taught multiplication and division this way may not have struggled if I would have been.
Streamlined math that sticks without frustration!
Review by Holly
My family loves the Math Lessons for a Living Education series! Each lesson is laid out simply and concisely without endless, frustrating busy work. The continuing story that plays throughout the entire book brings brings the math concepts to life and makes them more than an abstract idea. The illustrations, style and layout appeal to my love of pretty textbooks. My son wanted to do math first everyday. Highly recommend!
Good for us!
Review by Shejohn85
We love it because it’s no fluff but not boring. We are switching from TBTG and there was a lot of fluff. Looking forward to more streamline subjects.
Easy Material
Review by Homeschool x 4
I liked this book, but being a bit of a math nerd myself, I wanted it to be a little more challenging. We tried with my son for a year, and he breezed through the material. Not bad, not just for me.
My son always looked forward to math!
Review by Ksnell
Opening this book was always a joy for my son, he constantly worked ahead because he didn’t want to stop!
Great Math experience
Review by Shun
Both of my children have used this lesson book and I have seen both of them learn very well from them. I enjoy that they review the concepts throughout the weekly lessons, and we are able to pick and choose which problems to review. The book has some helpful resources in the back that we have used to help aid both children as they do their work. Makes teaching math easier on the parent!
Gets the job done
Review by Rose
We started in MFLE way back in first grade and it continues to be a great choice. The lessons are short but contain all the meat needed plus review. I like the spiral approach that keeps coming back around to things that were already learned but always need review. Finishing our 4th year and he has a good understanding of math concepts with this series.
Overall loved it
Review by Sarah
We really enjoy this approach to math for younger elementary. We didn’t plan to stick with it past level three, but my son wanted to keep doing it. I do feel like he has learned a lot, so the approach is working for him. We decided to move forward and also, do level five for this school year .
