My Story turns early elementary social studies into an expedition: from who they are and where they come from, to the cultures, countries, and languages across the globe. You get open-and-go lessons about history, politics, economics, sociology, and geography with a biblical worldview in a beautiful, all-in-one resource.
Social studies feels like a journey thanks to the adventure-based quest theme. Variety offers appeal for every kind of learner: reading, coloring, movement, narration, journaling, and more.
From language phrases and food traditions to national flags, My Story introduces children to cultures in ways that stick: through sight, sound, taste, and conversation.
Every level is built on the Greatest Commandments: Love God and love your neighbor. Scripture and a biblical worldview reinforce it naturally throughout.
Lessons are designed for exposure over mastery, building confidence through small, celebrated steps. Character-building and developmental mile markers ensure every child feels they belong to God's story.
No separate teacher's guide. No extra prep. Lesson plans, instruction, and worksheets all live inside the student book. Open it and teach.
Curl up on the couch and read. Discuss. Wander into a conversation you didn't plan. My Story gives you the content; the connection happens naturally.
My Story came from a dad and his son. Craig Froman homeschooled Andrew all the way through high school. When it came time to build a social studies curriculum, he brought Andrew in as co-creator: a psychology and history student who had studied abroad across Europe and seen firsthand what it means to encounter unfamiliar cultures.
Their shared conviction shaped everything: Children don't need to fear people who are different from them. They need to love them. That’s why My Story is not just social studies facts, but compassion. Not just geography, but loving neighbor as self.

"The absolute best part of this course in my opinion is God's word (scripture) and reminded love woven throughout each chapter. We have loved every minute that we've spent on this course so far."
Laurie, My Story K
Homeschool Mom
"I love how the very 1st thing he learns in history, is about him, who he is, how he became, and about his family. He asked questions that he may have never asked, had this book not already sparked his attention!"
Whitley's Mama, My Story 1
Homeschool Mom
"This has become very quickly my daughter's favorite! I loved social studies and history as a kid, so to see my children fall in love with learning about other cultures and their own family has been a beautiful blessing!"
Jesinia, My Story K
"Homeschooling 4 kids can get crazy. My Story K is an all in one geography/Social Studies course for Kindergarteners. It is definitely designed for the busy mom with minimum prep work required. The topics are covered in such a simple way that then opens the door for wonderful conversations with my child."
Lynette, My Story K
Homeschool Mom
"My daughter started begging me to study the world and see what it was like in other countries. I brought up the My Story 2 sample, and she was immediately hooked! This course has broadened her appreciation for missions as she makes connections with the missionaries our church supports."
Charity, My Story 2

Four 9-week quests
Every lesson is part of a bigger journey. The year is divided into four 9-week Quests, each launched with a Quest Collector Card packed with clues and facts to watch for. Lessons are framed around different modes of travel: canoes, trains, hot-air balloons, skateboards.
The structure stays consistent and predictable every week, so young learners always know what's coming, but the destinations keep changing.

narration-based discussion
My Story is designed to be read aloud together, with an optional audiobook narrated by the author for families who want it. Every lesson includes Talk Time: a narration-based discussion where children connect what they learned to their own lives. Every Friday, kids revisit the week through review, vocabulary, and their My Story Journal, where they record their own history alongside what they're learning about the world.

cultural connections
My Story introduces children to real cultures through language, food, community, and people. Language Time brings in words and phrases from Spanish, French, Italian, and Chinese. Helping Hands highlights community helpers from librarians to pilots. By Level 2, students are identifying national flags and learning five types of government across a full global tour of every continent except Antarctica.
My Story is the only Christian social studies curriculum designed as a complete, full-color, all-in-one sequence from Kindergarten through second grade, at a price that works for homeschool families.
