    This is an interesting book. The portrayal of Noah and the ark are Biblically sound, and the pictures are engaging. It also makes a bold but true (illustrated) comparison of the days before the flood and modern times. It is an attractive picture book for (possibly older) elementary aged children. But... there is an awfully large focus on: "where is the ark now?" with a lot of conjecture, maybe's, and what if's. I don't really like that part of it. The ark has not been found. Noah more likely used the wood of the ark to build a few shelters and tools and fires... or something... Who knows?

    This book is so much more than just another story about the ark. Starts out with talking about the world before sin and after sin which leads to some good conversations with the kids. It then goes into talking about the world during the time the ark was being built and then once the flooding started and after the flood. Even covers dinosaurs. The pictures in this book are amazing! It starts in to the mountain that the ark landed on and sighting of it. The pictures of this mountain are beautiful. The stories of the search of the ark are intriguing. This is a great read for kids probably around 3rd to 5th grades.

    I got this on a flash sale and thought it would be a fun picture book for my 3 year olds. I obviously didn’t read the description thoroughly. It’s a very thorough account of God creating the world, up to the point of the Flood. It answers tons of questions and that first part is illustrated. Then it talks about modern day finding the Ark and has a bunch of photographs. And a neat adventure story of one of the men who was searching for the Ark getting hit by lightening. My son was riveted on that part. More illustrations, more photographs. And then more archeological discoveries at the end. It’s so well done. It is still technically a kid book, but more than plenty of information for adults as well, so get it even if it’s just you that wants that info. And don’t be put off by the overly childlike appearance of the cover. It’s great info inside.
