Homeschool families teach their preschool age children life skills throughout the day, but what about an official curriculum at this age? Master Books understands the need to teach preschoolers at a pace that fits their stage of brain and body development. We offer home educators two unique curriculum solutions to help gently introduce formal learning in a playful way. This is a wonderful opportunity to give them a great foundation for academics, love for God, and a love for learning. Throughout this post, we will give you a thorough overview of our two unique preschool homeschool curriculum solutions.
The Master Books Method of Education incorporates shorter lessons especially for the younger students. This is based on educational research and has proven very effective for homeschooling families. In this short video, Kristen Pratt – Master Books Brand and Curriculum Development Editor, shares why this approach to academic excellence works so well.
When a homeschool family finds themselves overwhelmed and burned out, it is wise to evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum. Is your curriculum meeting your student’s individual needs, or is it forcing the student to adjust to a rigorous plan that exceeds their physical, mental, and emotional development?
At Master Books, we are intentional about helping your children become confident students who love to learn. The Master Books Method uses a whole child approach to learning which helps you consider your child’s readiness for the subject matter, their attention span, and their ability to retain information.

Perfect for Preschool
Review byDanielle
When my almost-three-year old sees and hears that I am helping his older siblings with their work for the day, he runs and gets a flashlight and a superhero cape so he can do "school" too! The beginning lessons on shadows left a lasting impression on him, even though we are past that section now - haha! He likes to wear a superhero cape as we read the "Heroes of the Bible" parts. His excitement is worth it alone - but no worries his academics have improved too! Before starting the lessons he wasn't quite consistent in his pre-writing skills (lines, circles, etc.), but he quickly picked that up while doing the fun pages. We're so thankful to have a solid, Biblical curriculum even in these early years!

My 3 year old
Review byLindsay
This past school year my 3 year old, now 4 year old did this stepping stones curriculum. He enjoyed it quit a bit. He did struggle with the activities that needed scissors but his hand coordination is a struggle for him. I loved it because it kept him doing stuff while his other brothers did their school work and he was learning at the same time. I struggle with giving him an electronic during school time for his brothers so this was very helpful!!

Perfect
Review byRelaine
Perfect for my daughter. 10-15 minute lessons, kept her interest and not too long for her to get tired of it. Would recommend and will be buying it again for my son when he’s ready for preschool.

Great for 3yo
Review bybrigitte
This was a great beginner school book to work through with our very enthusiastic 3 year old. He loved it so much that he would beg to "do school" every day.

Perfect for my 4 year old
Review byJessica
I started SS with my youngest last year when he turned 4. He has absolutely loved it and I enjoy our sweet time together. Since he will not yet be 5.5 when we start K I was unsure if he would be ready but after using SS I know he will be now. Carrie has done a wonderful job on this course and it leads wonderfully to Simply K.

Love it!
Review byJenna
I'm using this for my 4 year old daughter. She loves it so much and wants to do multiple lessons in a day. It has been great for her to boost her confidence in what she knows and learning how to do that with her very own curriculum while her older brothers are doing school too. The certificates at the end of each Milestone are great and she enjoys seeing those hanging on the wall to show her progress.

Sample does no justice
Review byRaquel
The samples don't do this justice. I was skeptical and didn't think my 3yr old would like it. But here we are 6 weeks in and loving it. I absolutely love the biblical aspect and gentleness. I'll be using it in the future as well. Highly recommend

Best Preschool Curriculum!!
Review byDanielle
I absolutely loved Stepping Stones for my 3 and 4 year old daughters for Preschool. This was a perfect fit for our family with the simplicity of the daily lessons, the Bible stories woven in, and for how easy it was to adapt to each of my girls’ learning style. They couldn’t wait to do school each day. We also incorporated The Beginner’s Bible to go along with the Bible stories and the Noah’s Ark Preschool Activity Book. I feel very confident that they are both ready for Kindergarten this year. Thank you Master Books for this excellent Preschool Curriculum!
