Christianity is Under Massive Attack

How will you and the coming generations stand firm and uphold the truth of God’s Word when the culture is forcefully demanding you believe lies? In this updated edition of The Lie: Unraveling the Myth of Evolution/Millions of Years, Ken Ham exposes how the acceptance of evolution and millions of years has eroded belief in God as Creator. This issue is crucial to understanding modern worldview dilemmas, including gender and sexuality, abortion, racism, and the mass exodus from the church.

Why is the Christian church losing ground in its battle with the secular world?

Thousands of church leaders are nearing a dangerous precipice—the denial of the Bible's full authority and accuracy from its very first verse. Originally published in 1987, The Lie boldly predicted this trend.

This compelling book is a must-read for all Christians, providing crucial answers to common questions from unbelievers and offering advice for parents preparing their children to face a rebellious secular world. Chapters include:

  • Crumbling Foundations
  • The Evil Fruit of Evolutionary Thinking
  • Evangelism in a Pagan World
  • Wake Up, Shepherds!
  • Creation, Flood, and Coming Fire

The Lie is more than just a book; it is a call to action inviting the body of Christ to stand firm in their Christian faith, reject the lie of evolution, and uphold the truth of God’s Word from the very beginning. As Romans 1:20-23 (NKJV) warns, those who reject God's truth are without excuse and their hearts are darkened.

Will you stand firm and uphold the truth of God's Word?

Review by Kathleen C
This book reveals how evolution and millions of years have undermined belief in the creator God.
The book's basic thrust is to call Christians back to the Book of Genesis as their starting point for understanding origins rather than following secularism's evolutionary teachings.

Listeners will face the obvious differences between the worldview of Scripture and secularism/evolution. Ken Ham is passionate about the truth and about Christians knowing the truth. He employs ample Scriptural support for Christians to consider and come to grips with. This is Ken Ham’s call for Christians to wake from their slumber of ignorance about the origins debate and arm themselves with understanding and truth about the issues at stake.

Ken Ham shows that Genesis is a dependable account of actual events supported by solid scientific evidence. He demonstrates how the questioning of this foundational book of the Bible, even by many Christians, has led to the degeneration of society so that the only moral codes it accepts are based upon “survival of the fittest,” “do your own thing,” and “if it feels good, do it.” There are no moral absolutes in this foundationless society.

The Lie: Unraveling the myth is more than just a book; it is a call to action inviting the body of Christ to stand firm in their Christian faith, reject the lie of evolution, and uphold the truth of God’s Word from the very beginning. I recommend this book to all Christians.
"The Lie" is still true! Great resource to understand the issues of our culture!
Review by Michael
Ken Ham continues to share the truth about “The Lie” that is still propagating throughout the world. This book was first published in 1987, updated in 2012, and updated again in 2024. The reason Ken Ham has updated this book for the third time is because the culture has changed so much over the last 37 years and “The Lie” still continues to be believed. I appreciate the straightforward nature of what this book covers. Primarily the lie written about is evolution (molecules-to-man) and the age of the earth being millions/billions of years old. Ken Ham though highlights the root problem surrounding the issues we see in our culture. Sin is the root cause. Next to that, is the authority of the Word of God has been reduced by Christians and the culture as a whole. Due to sin flagrantly being committed and the authority of the Word of God being diminished inside the Christian church, our culture has many symptoms that continue to hold strong: evolution and the earth being millions/billions of years old taught in public schools, museums, libraries, and even churches; abortion on demand; marriages crumbling; same-sex “marriage” being lifted up; younger generations walking away from the Christian faith; racism; transgenderism; and secular worldview – to name a few.

Ken Ham goes into detail that if the Word of God is not the foundation of a person’s life, then we can expect to see many of the problems highlighted above. What is sad is even among Christians, the Word of God is not the foundation of their lives. This is demonstrated by Christians and churches advocating for abortion, same-sex “marriage”, transgenderism, and even shady business practices. The youth of today is walking away from the faith in significant numbers and it has a lot to do with how older generations have not either held God’s Word as the authority over every area of their life or they have not taken the time to truly understand the issues of the day and have failed to disciple the youth in the ways of the Lord.
Ken Ham does a good job explaining how evolution and an old-earth have permeated the church world. Often times, church leaders compromise the Word of God by “following the science”. Ken Ham emphasizes that science doesn’t say anything, scientists do. Because everyone has a worldview either founded on God’s Word or man’s word and the evidence being evaluated is influenced by the worldview one holds. What’s also important to realize is that there is no scientific proof of evolution (molecules-to-man) or an old-earth. Ken Ham points out the difference between observational science and historical science to help make this statement clearer. For example, by there not being scientific proof, this means that the age of the earth cannot be tested by the scientific method (observational science) since you cannot test something in the past (historical science). Assumptions must be made. Where one bases those assumptions matters. Hence why the worldview of a person matters.

With the Bible having an eyewitness (e.g., GOD) that was there in the beginning, He has told us how things came to be (e.g., God created all things). Because God cannot lie, knows all things and is all powerful, we can trust what He said as truth. We don’t have to believe the lie from Satan that causes us to doubt God’s Word. We don’t have to use man’s opinions to interpret Genesis 1-11 (eisegesis). We can read Genesis 1-11 and clearly interpret what the Scripture says (exegesis). Praise the Lord for the truth and the ability to expose the lie that has deceived so many people. I pray this book helps more people see that and people would turn to God’s Word as the foundation of their life!
