History is enjoyable
Review by Nichole
My daughter is about finished with this course set this year at her hybrid school and she has really enjoyed learning what this set covers. It’s easy for her to follow herself and complete the worksheets. She has learned a great deal and likes to give me summaries of some of her favorite tidbits she’s learned. We’re looking forward to level 3 next year.

Grade 7

My daughter enjoys it. Although we feel the need to add Map Trek with it to add some extra Geography. She’s enjoying History from a biblical worldview.
Engaging

Easy to use very engaging and enjoyable. Love the biblical aspect. My student has learned so much and we will continue using these
Like it, for the most part.

This is an ok curriculum. I like the progression and the focus on God's role in history. It covers the subject matter in a way that is challenging without being overly burdensome.

However, there is much I do not like. I don't love the text. Sometimes the author's meaning is unclear, and I have to look something up. Sometimes it is not a big deal, but sometimes it affects my son's ability to answer a question. I also think there needs to be more subtitles in the text to help students find the information they need to answer questions. Furthermore, sometimes the questions themselves are vague and therefore difficult to answer. I also wish there was more frequent cumulative review. The "reviews" are quarterly, so the students have way too much information to remember.

So, for all I do not like, I liked it enough to purchase the third installment. I wanted to keep things consistent for next year, and while I don't love this, it gets the job done.
History with a Christian worldview!
Review by marilyn
I love how the author teaches history with a Christian worldview! It's a little more traditional history book rather than strong living history which I prefer, but lots of good info in it..
Loved it!
