Such a fun book for young readers!!
Review by CRill
Our family absolutely loves True Bible Story! Each story starts with, "This is a true story..." with a reference for where you can find it in the Bible. There are pictures to look for as each story is read which the children enjoy watching out for. The stories are engaging and beautifully illustrated. While these are just that, stories, they are a great introduction of characters and events to encourage young readers. This book is a great addition to your library!
A great devotional for the whole familly

Great for beginning readers!
Review by SB
The True Story Bible is very engaging, especially for younger readers. The illustrations are colorful and fun. The text is especially appealing to younger readers because there aren’t too many words on a page. My children enjoy looking for the hidden pictures in each story. I appreciate that each story starts with “This is a true story” and then gives the chapters where the story is found in the Bible. I also like how each Old Testament story ends with a summary of the story and then tells how the story is actually about Jesus. The application made in each story is simple enough for kids to understand yet also thought provoking for adults. The New Testament stories also tell about the author of the story (Luke, John, Matthew). The Words to Know pages at the end of the book are also a nice feature. Overall, our family has really enjoyed the True Story Bible.
Amazing and Fun Story Book Bible
Review by Rachel
This new Story Bible is such a fun and exciting addition to the books found at MBs!! I cannot wait to give this out as gifts to all the little ones in my life. I love how every page breaks these TRUE stories down for young readers to be able to read and understand on their own. As a mom of a struggling reader who has expressed to me many times that he wants to read because he wants to read the Bible, this is truly a product that feels a need and answers a prayer! Every story starts by pointing out that it is a true story and gives the Bible reference for where the full story can be read. The illustrations are bright and beautiful and pull the reader in. Every page points to Christ and helps you see the connections to Him! What a great book and a true gem to add to your home library. Everyone with young readers or ever interact with young readers should own this book! Thank you Master Books for another beautiful gem of a book!
Bible Storybook that Points to Christ!
Review by Michelle C.
My children thoroughly enjoy the stories in the True Story Bible. Every Old Testament story points to Christ and demonstrates the gospel message. The New Testament Stories don’t just tell the stories about Jesus, they emphasize salvation and how Jesus is our personal Rescuer and King. Each story includes a Scripture reference, a key verse and hidden pictures that can be found throughout the story. I really appreciate the types and shadows within the Old Testament stories. Although I grew up in church, I didn’t understand many of these concepts until my adult life. I’m so thankful to have a resource that teaches these important truths to my children.

Please note: I would advise some parental discretion before just handing this to a child. Since Biblical truths are displayed in the artwork, some of the pictures may be scary or bothersome to young children. Like many other Bible storybooks, since it’s a storybook, there are some fictional elements. Several things are plausible but not necessarily in Scripture. I noticed this the most in the story of Barabbas. Although possibly accurate, according to Scripture, we don’t know everything that Barabbas said, thought or felt. The story does use words like “perhaps Barabbas wondered,” and “Barabbas probably knew,” which I appreciate. I’m glad phrases like these are included so my child will not think the story is one hundred percent accurate.

I am thankful to have a resource that prompts worthy conversation with my kids. I appreciate how the Old Testament stories point to Jesus in a way I wish I knew as a child. Although this would not be my first choice for a toddler Bible, it is an excellent resource for elementary aged students.

Jesus focused

Cute Bible story book that shows how all parts of the Bible point back to Jesus and salvation. The pictures were colorful and I enjoyed how each story referenced where it is found in the Bible. There are even engaging ‘seek and find’ pictures for younger kids.
Rich with the “savor of Christ”
Review by JoyfulMommy
This is a compilation of wonderful little stories with a powerful message! I enjoy reading them to our children, they enjoy reading them independently, and the reading level is such that my first grader enjoys it as read aloud practice with just a little help. We have had some wonderful conversations after reading. I particularly appreciate the way the Old Testament stories connect the historical account to the gospel and the unchangeableness of God. I think that having children’s books that do this helps to establish that pattern as we read other Old Testament Bible accounts and look for how they point to Christ. And the New Testament stories do well at showing the heart of Jesus and His loving compassion. I was especially moved by the story of Jesus raising Lazarus. His heart for those facing grief has not changed, and it’s a comfort to know He is there and cares in the midst of our sorrow.

C.H. Spurgeon once quoted a story in which an older preacher gave this advice to a young man just beginning his ministry. “Don’t you know, young man, that from every town and every village and every hamlet in England, wherever it may be, there is a road to London? So from every text of Scripture there is a road to Christ. And my dear brother, your business is, when you get to a text, to say, now, what is the road to Christ? I have never found a text that had not got a road to Christ in it, and if ever I do find one, I will go over hedge and ditch but I would get at my Master, for the sermon cannot do any good unless there is a savor of Christ in it.”

This book is rich with the “savor of Christ” and would be a great addition to your library!
Beautiful and Engaging
Review by Jen
This collection of 14 true stories from the Bible is a great addition to your home. The stories are colorful and engaging for read aloud during family time or for children to read themselves. Each story tells exactly what book and chapter from the Bible the story is from so the actual scripture verses can be read in conjunction as well. We love this in our home!
A beautiful bible that shows Jesus throughout scripture
Review by Natalie
The *TRUE Story Bible* is a wonderful resource for helping children connect with the story of Jesus throughout the entire Bible. One of the things I love most about this Bible is how it shows children that Jesus isn't just present in the New Testament, but His story is woven throughout the entire Old Testament as well. This helps reinforce the idea that all the Bible's stories point to Him, making it easier for kids to understand the continuity of God’s plan.

The language is simple and easy to understand, which is key when teaching children about the Bible. It breaks down complex themes and stories in a way that even young readers can grasp, and it does so without shielding them from difficult truths. In fact, the Bible doesn't shy away from hard topics but introduces them gently, helping kids wrestle with tough concepts in an approachable manner. The phrase "The Bible says..." is used throughout the book, which reinforces the truth and authority of Scripture.

Another feature I love is the inclusion of hidden elements in the illustrations. These little details help keep kids engaged as they read, encouraging them to look closely and interact with the story in a fun way. Plus, each story ends with a summary that helps reinforce the main lesson, ensuring that children don’t miss the key message.

The *TRUE Story Bible* also highlights where the stories can be found in the Bible, making it easy to follow along and dive deeper into each passage. The beautiful illustrations are another standout; they bring the stories to life in a vibrant way, helping children visualize the Bible in a way that is both captivating and educational.

What I appreciate the most is how this Bible makes it clear that every story is really about Jesus—whether directly or indirectly. It helps kids see the real lesson in each story and points out what the story is and is not about, making it a powerful tool for understanding the heart of the Gospel.

Overall, the *TRUE Story Bible* is a fantastic way to engage children with the Bible, helping them connect with Jesus and understand His story in a fun, meaningful, and easy-to-understand way.
Engaging True Stories with Connecting Lessons
Review by Michele
These stories are beautifully done. Each starts with, "This is a true story. It comes from [specific chapter and verse] in your Bible." The illustrations are pretty and get the point across. They are just engaging enough to keep my pre-reader's attention focused while I read the full text on each page. Every story has "hidden pictures" to look for, continuing to keep readers engaged, that can be find in the first half of the story. The second half also includes, as it takes the story and beautifully relates it to Jesus, carrying the thread all the way through the Bible. I love when my little crawls up in my lap, engages with the story, and then says, "another one!"
