This was the perfect follow up to Life in the Great Ice Age! We are studying prehistoric/ancient history and Master Books doesn’t disappoint with the many offerings during this time period. Both educational, entertaining & biblically sound.

This book is a sequel to Life in the Great Ice Age and is done just as well. My son enjoyed being able to continue the journey of Jabeth and has learned so much information which provides biblical support for the ice age.

We got this to follow up after Life in the Great Ice Age and we are glad we did. The pictures are so beautiful. I love the section on from caves to huts in part 1. I feel like you can imagine what it would have been like. Perfect blend of ancient history and geography explained from a Biblical perspective. We are hoping to turn this into a unit study in the winter. Living in Canada it can get very cold and like having different books that are not just school text books to use. We feel this will be fun to do in a long Canadian winter and study the ice age.

I know we will be reading this along with our 7 year old , but I can tell you as a parent looking through this book you would get enjoyment reading this. I really liked the pictures on pages 15, 37, 41 and 60.

At the back page 61 there are 18 questions which are helpful because we will use those for the unit study. As well as, there is a glossary on page 63-64 which is good for vocabulary and understanding.

I think the next book we will add to this is Frozen in Time.

It feels as though you are going on an adventure with Tungus and his tribe and see life through their eyes. I feel I am not lacking for answers and given solid information in a story format.
