    Interesting answers to many questions

    This book follows a tried and true pattern from many of the MasterBooks/AnswersInGenesis books. In a similar format the New Answers Book series, Bodie Hodge covers a wide variety of questions related to Christmas. I loved the thick full-color pages with short topic. My one disappointment was that some of the answers given relied a little to much on conjecture. Most of the sections are the accessible scholarship I have come to expect from these books (for example the article on when was Jesus born analyzes the Bible and history and then leaves for the reader to decide on things that are unclear), but some present conjecture is a way that almost assumes it to be fact (Like the article on Isn’t Christmas a Pagan Holiday. This article builds most of its argument on the possibility of Saturnalia coming from worship of a close descendant of Noah). While those articles may be based in good research, I felt like they did not present the evidence in a way that the reader could really decide for themselves.

    I really enjoyed this book and the view of what Christmas is about. We read this together as a family and we all really enjoyed what the author had written.

    This is a wonderful book! It delves into some of the myths surrounding Jesus' birth, the star of Bethlehem, and many more. I especially appreciate the author for not being dogmatic regarding the use of 'Xmas'.

    I love this book! I feel like it left nothing out pertaining to Christmas. It was thorough but still allowed me to simply explain to my family the reasons certain things are done at Christmas time. So much cool history!

    I love Christmas but we don't do Christmas with a normal go shop we make from our hearts...So I guess this book was very relative to me and how I feel about the commercialism of it
