Religions in today’s culture seem to be multiplying. Have you ever wondered why certain religions believe and practice what they do? Or how they view the Bible? This volume delves into these and other engaging questions, such as:

  • How can a Christian witness to people in these religions?
  • Do these other religions believe in creation and a Creator?
  • How do we deal with these religions from a biblical authority perspective?

Many religions and cults discussed in this first volume openly affirm that the Bible is true, but then something gets in their way. And there is a common factor every time—man’s fallible opinions. In one way or another the Bible gets demoted, reinterpreted, or completely ignored. Man’s ideas are used to throw the Bible’s clear teaching out the window while false teachings are promoted.

This book is a must for laymen, church leaders, teachers, and students to understand the trends in our culture and around the world where certain religions dominate, helping you discern truth and guard your faith. When you understand a religion’s origins and teachings, you are in a better position to know how to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ as you take the good news to those in false religions.

Great Resource
Review by Angela
I have used this resource as a parent and as a teacher. It gives great information and is done in a respectful manner. My daughter who is using it as an elective in school is gaining so much understanding and creating great conversations.
Knowledge
Review by Leslie
Very informative. Opened my eyes to a world I knew nothing about. Useful knowledge as I am a part of the world and as I help my kids (and others) grow in a time with so many forces pulling them away.
Great Resource!
Review by Angie
My teenager was curious about differences in other belief systems and this helped inform him while keeping a solid foundation in the Scripture. I recommend it for any teen/adult who wants to engage with others more effectively.

This was well put together! Very informative. I plan on having my children take the course that uses all three books from this series!
Not very engaging, but very informative
Review by Jennifer
This isn't the most enjoyable thing I've ever read, but it's purpose is to inform and that it certainly accomplishes. I always wondered what the differences were between all these religions that claim to be forms of Christianity. Lots of great info.
Invaluable Resource

I love how this book breaks apart the different religions and shows their core beliefs. This will help greatly when witnessing to others of a different faith. Invaluable resource!
Excellent resource

These breakdown varying belief systems and religions and gives a solid foundation for the truth of Christianity. This first one specifically focuses on religions closest to Christianity, some of them I’ve never heard of.

We will definitely get the other books in the series.
Great Resource

This book proved to be invaluable to my teen daughter. She learned so much about the counterfeits of Christianity by reading through this. It helped to prepare her to have discussions with people who are practicing these counterfeit religions.
Great Reference That Builds Confidence to Defend Christianity
Review by Michael
This book really helped provide an understanding of several religions that are counterfeits of Christianity. I thought each religion the book covered was discussed to an appropriate length and had many external references. The book was also engaging and deep. Of course, it was good to see how each religion compared to Creationism. One thing that I found is that most of the religions discussed in this volume were founded by a single person by receiving a private vision of some kind. It just goes to show how counterfeit these religions are. I feel more confident to discuss these religions after having read this book (although I will use it for reference moving forward).
